Before we decide,
we want to hear from you.
Metropolitan is in a season of discernment — choosing the one community priority to pursue with excellence over the next 90 days. We're asking a few questions first. No name required. No wrong answers.
Question 1
"What's one word or phrase you'd use to describe what life feels like in this neighborhood right now?"
Question 2
"If our church could do one thing in the next 90 days that would make a real difference — what would it be?"
Question 3
"What's already happening here that you think more people should know about?"
What happens with your response
Every response shapes our discernment. Once we've listened and made a decision, we'll update this page to share what we heard and what we chose — and why. Your voice matters in that decision.

Here's what we heard.
Here's what we decided.
We asked members and neighbors to share what they felt before we made any decisions. Here's what came back — and the 90-day play Metropolitan is committing to.
What We Heard
People feel squeezed financially — even those with stable income described living without margin. One unexpected bill away from a real crisis.
Seniors are quiet about their needs — multiple people mentioned older neighbors going without help because they didn't want to be a burden or didn't know where to ask.
People want to help, not just be helped — several respondents named informal networks already operating and asked how they could be part of the solution.
"I wish the church knew how many of us are just one month from not making it — but we'd never say that on a Sunday morning."

What We Decided
Our First 90-Day Play
Food Security & Neighbor Care
What we heard confirmed what the data showed — but it also added something the data couldn't: the specific shape of the silence. People aren't asking for help loudly. We're building a front door that doesn't require them to.
We're expanding the We Are One Body pantry into a full neighbor care hub. Launches in the next 30 days.

To everyone who shared — thank you. Your words shaped this decision, and your presence will shape how well we carry it out.
